Whats the Ion body made of? It looks like plastic but Strange, an NXL team, and recent winners of the NPPL Tampa event have released a new all aluminum Ion body that transforms the Ion from a "plastic" looking marker to a professional quality paintball gun. Im not sure if that means it IS plastic or just looks it. Please fill me in. I dont think it is plastic because otherwise it would break too easily.

A first for paintball. High-quality aluminum internals are protected by composite shells, allowing you to instantly change the color or look of your body. Tired of blue? Switch to red. Or black. Or yellow. And there are more body styles in the works...

Yeah, contrary to popular belief, the only parts that are plastic are the shell, not the actual body, and the trigger. And the Kage is by far the secksiest body out there.

Actually the shell isn't even true plastic its aluminum and plastic bonded together I think.

Whatever the hell composite is, that's what the shells are. Strong enough to endure me jumping up and down on, anyways.

the shells are hard, believe me, my friend got an ion and we tested it..... but tthe trigger on the other hand, i like the feel of it, especially with the magnet out, but you could seriously just snap it in half with one finger....imo smart parts should improve on that even though there are like 5439827832732532 aftermarket triggers
